Stefanie is the practice manager and office administrator here at Acadian ENT & Facial Plastic Surgery and has been here for 29 years. She has a Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management and is a Registered Health Information Administrator.
Stefanie has attended many courses over the 29 years that she’s been here. She regularly attends our Greenway PrimeSuite annual conferences which help her to keep up to date with the changes in electronic health records and the changes in our insurance and governmental programs we deal with daily. It also gives her new ways to provide for our patients.
She continues to take courses on subjects we need to handle our daily operations: HIPAA, Compliance, Meaningful Use, PQRS, Electronic Documentation, Coding and many others.
She is on the board of the Medical Group Management Association Louisiana, a 7-year term. This organization keeps her abreast of changes, things on the horizon, new ways of practice management, networking with other managers and an all-around tool for practice management.
Other associations she’s involved in are MGMA national, state and local chapter, American Health Information Management Association national, state and district chapters and Association of Otolaryngology Administrators.
Stefanie always has students working within our practice, from Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery residents, to medical assistant students to health information management students and AuD (doctors of audiology) residents; we are able to teach and to learn from them.
