An otolaryngologist is a physician with extensive
training in the medical and surgical management and treatment of
diseases and disorders of the ear, nose and throat. This specialty is
more commonly referred to as ENT.
Services include diagnosis and management of
medical issues related to the sinuses, larynx
(voice
box), oral cavity (mouth) and throat, as well
as structures of the neck and face. An otolaryngologist
can diagnose, treat, and manage specific disorders
of the ear, nose and throat as well as a variety
of primary care problems in both children and
